Relationship Marketing - a GREAT example
Hello - it's Chris here.
If you've known me for any short amount of time - you will know -- that RELATIONSHIP MARKETING - is my favorite kind of marketing.
But what exactly does this mean?
Let me tell you?
At the end of the day - all any of us want to do - is spend time with people that we like.
Lets be honest here - that's really what life is all about isn't it?
And in business - it's the same. It is so much easier to become a successful business - if people like you.
There is a reason Facebook call their famous blue button - the LIKE button.
Think about this...
Any successful business - knows that in these social media rich times - it's vitally important - that their brand is LIKED by their customers.
Caring first - not selling first - is how to build a business
But how do people decide they like each other? They talk - they exchange ideas - they listen.
And a relationship is formed when those brave enough - expose a little heart and soul.
It's the same in business.
So how do you do this?
Let people know a bit about you - so people feel you are real and three dimensional. Not just 'another' email with an affiliate link.
You may have noticed that I often make videos from my home - from Coffee Bean - while walking my dogs - even while traveling on planes....
Apart from it being quicker for me to do this - I am of course also aware - that this helps create a relationship with those watching.
Every successful business should work hard on their RELATIONSHIP MARKETING.
This is what caring first - not selling first - looks like. In fact - this is exactly how I built my business.
Here is a terrific example:
Here's a guy (who I know) called Jared.
Jared is a photographer.
Now - each week - Jared interviews his nan - who is 100 years old! This is just brilliant already!
But please note how NONE of Jared's content is about photography. Instead what Jared is doing BRILLIANTLY - is creating a relationship with us.
Now - when Jared sends out an email to his list - do you think it gets opened?
You bet it does!
And why does it get opened?
Because BEFORE Jared has tried to make a sale - he has spent some time building this relationship first.
And how about when Jared does suggest a product to buy? Do you think his list will be more responsive - because they already LIKE Jared? Of course they will!
This is a perfect example of Relationship Marketing done well.
